Ausrine Stundyte stammt aus Vilnius in Litauen und studierte zunächst Gesang an der Litauischen Musikakademie bei Irena Milkeviciute bevor sie im Jahr 2000 an die Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig zu Helga Forner wechselte.
Ausrine Stundyte wurde mit mehreren Stipendien und Preisen ausgezeichnet, unter anderem mit dem Sonderpreis der Chambre Professionnelle des Directeurs d'Opéra Paris, Sonderpreis der Helikon Oper Moskau und dem 2 Preis Operette beim 25.Internationalen Hans Gabor Belvedere Gesangswettbewerb in Wien sowie Offenbach Preis in der Oper Köln.
Gastspiele führten Ausrine Stundyte an die Arena di Verona,an das Teatro Nacional de Sao Carlos in Portugal,an die Litauische National Oper,an die Oper Leipzig, an das Aalto Theater Essen, ins Gewandhaus Leipzig, in die Liederhalle Stuttgart, die Kölner und die Essener Philharmonie. Ihr umfangreiches Lied- und Konzertrepertoire umfasst auch die Liederzyklen von Strauss, Berg, Wagner. Der MDR hat Ausrine Stundyte mit Liedern von Hermann Heyer aufgezeichnet.
Ausrine Stundyte sang im Ensemble der Oper Köln unter anderem Micaela in Carmen, Mimi in La Bohème, Fiordiliggi in Così fan tutte, Agathe im Freischütz und Cho-Cho-San in Madame Butterfly, darüber hinaus auch die Mimi (La Boheme) in Leipzig und Donna Branca (A.Keil "Donna Branca") in Lissabon. Weitere Produktionen sind unter anderem aktuell Margherita (Mefistofele) in Lübeck , Katja (Katja Kabanova) in Lissabon, Nastasia (Tcharodejka) in Antwerpen und Butterfly in Seatle.
Ausrine Stundyte was born in Vilnius, Lithuania. She studied at the Lithuanian Music Academy with Prof. Irena Milkeviciute before in 2000 she undertook further study at the Hochschule for Musik and Theatre in Leipzig with Prof. Helga Forner. She has won several prizes and scholarships, including the prize of the Chambre Profesionnelle des Directeurs d'Opera and 2nd prize operetta in 25th International Belvedere Singing Competition.Already as a student, Ausrine Stundyte was engaged by the Leipzig Opera to sing smaller roles. In 2009, she was asked to sing there the part of Mimi in Peter Konwitschny’s classical production of La Bohème. Since the season 2003/4 and for the next 5 years she is engaged by the Cologne Opera where she sings amongst others the roles of Nedda in Pagliacci, Mimi in La Bohème, Cho-Cho-San in Madama Butterfly.
Ever since, she sings in various theatres amongst others, Amelia in Un ballo in maschera, Manon in Manon Lescaut (Puccini), Maddalena di Coigny in Andrea Chénier to excellent reviews. During season 2010/2011 she will sing Katja in Katja Kabanova and Margherita/Elena in Mefistofele (Boito).
Ausrine Stundyte has sung at Arena di Verona in Italy, the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos in Portugal, Aalto Theater Essen, Nationaltheater Weimar, Oper Leipzig, in the Gewandhaus Leipzig, in the Liederhalle Stuttgart, National Opera of Lithuania and the Philharmonic concert halls of Cologne and Essen. Her wide ranging concert and lieder repertoire includes song cycles by Strauss, Berg and Wagner. Ausrine Stundyte has recorded songs by Hermann Heyer for the MDR Radio in Germany.
